In it he mentions that members of the Tarahumara run until they are far in to their later days, looking after your body pays off. Seems our bodies were built as the title of the book implies.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09471478231469760498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3318674573303332537.post-77914374813103976862011-12-09T21:57:21.584-08:002011-12-09T21:57:21.584-08:00I LOVE THIS! My doctor, coaches, and friends told me to go swimming instead of running (i couldn’t bike due to pressure on the pelvis where I had surgeries). I kept on with my running, while taking Bone-Up and other supplements. At the end of treatment, my bone density had not declined AT ALL--which was an absolutely miracle. I absolutely love my biking and swimming now too....but GO RUNNING!Pattyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11069371008875502190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3318674573303332537.post-66952059470580664852010-01-12T09:33:41.725-08:002010-01-12T09:33:41.725-08:00There was just a story on NPR that basically outte...There was just a story on NPR that basically outted osteopenia as a condition invented by a drug company to sell bone density medication, but that the condition isn't backed up by much scientific data. I'd be interested in a follow-up interview.Tom Legerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10567644823610056314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3318674573303332537.post-70713544565387314762009-10-21T11:45:40.559-07:002009-10-21T11:45:40.559-07:00Thanks, Will.

Unlike most benefits of exercise, more is not better when it comes to bone....Bone recovers after 8 hours of rest and will respond to additional loading. So, from a practical point of view, it makes the most sense to do more short bouts of high-impact activity as opposed to longer bouts less frequently."<br /><br />Excellent topic and excellent information.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00931777618785722256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3318674573303332537.post-18874972256268814202009-10-20T20:16:55.872-07:002009-10-20T20:16:55.872-07:00Interesting interview, thanks for sharing! wonder ...Interesting interview, thanks for sharing! wonder about a triathlete doing all three!!
